Meet Amanda Steed, LCSW-S: Social Worker, Consultant, and Trauma Healing Specialist

Hello! I'm Amanda Steed, an LCSW-Supervisor based in Dallas, TX. I hold EMDR certification and am an EMDRIA approved consultant. I am IFS Certified - I've completed Level One and Level Two IFS Trainings, focusing on IFIO (IFS Couples Therapy), along with advanced training sessions in EMDR & IFS. These include Dr. Kendhal Hart’s EMDR + IFS Protocol, Healing Spiritual Abuse with EMDR, and Treating OCD with EMDR. I have assisted Dr. Hart in facilitating practice groups for her EMDR + IFS Protocol trainings since Spring 2023. I thoroughly enjoy answering questions and guiding therapists in combining these two models while also learning from all the different perspectives on EMDR.

My drive to become a consultant came from my passion for teaching and supporting clinicians in their growth journey. My background is in non-traditional teaching and curriculum development, so offering consultation was a natural next step for me in my path. The support I received from my consultants during my EMDR and IFS certification process significantly contributed to my understanding of the models. I am committed to seeking ongoing consultation in both EMDR and IFS to continually enhance my skills and competency. Through the consultation groups I lead, my aim is to offer assistance with the models while fostering a sense of community among colleagues who share my excitement for EMDR, IFS, and their integration.
